Well seven of us met up in St Bees yesterday - arriving by different transportation methods. Graeme and I took 6 people's luggage in our car from Windemere and went via a very scenic drive. At nearly 5pm we set off on C2C (coast to coast walk) knocking 7 km off Day 1's otherwise long 23 km. The sun was shining and the views over the Irish sea and looking back to St ees were great. In an hour Day 1 walking starts. G will be going where his heart desires as he is in the car.
